In Otoplasty a small incision is made behind the ear. The cartilage is reshaped and permanent sutures are used to maintain the shape of the ears. The small incision is closed with fine sutures. There are no visible scars since the entire procedure is performed form the back side of the ear. A ear dressing is placed for approximately 5 days. The goal is to create a natural, symmetrical ears with improved contour and less outward projection. This procedure can be performed in children as young as 5 years old and in adults.
